What is AzFP?
Arizonans for Prevention (AzFP) works to encourage the development, implementation and sustainability of quality prevention services throughout Arizona. We do this by supporting prevention professionals and promoting prevention science in an effort to reduce the social and physical consequences of the risk factors that youth and adults experience in their everyday lives.
Our members focus on preventing issues such as substance abuse, suicide, teen pregnancy, diseases, and a variety of other threats to health and wellness. We support them by coordinating a statewide network of prevention providers, coalitions and allies, and by serving as a united voice for prevention in our state. We offer trainings and other professional development opportunities, coordinate advocacy efforts, and help to establish and promote professional standards for prevention through the AzFP credentialing process.
